Our Learning Mentor Team support mental health and well being by:
- using attachment approaches to support pupils with SEMH issues
- assessing individual needs using adapted Leuven scale
- providing mindfulness and meditation opportunities to help calm senses
- participating in/organising circle time to support classes with SEMH needs
- supporting class teachers in planning for individual pupil’s SEMH needs
- mentoring and coaching individuals and groups
- providing breakfast club in a nurturing setting
- liaising with external agencies such as NHS Bereavement, SWERRL, BOSS, Social Services, P2B
- developing social skills in group and star sessions
- facilitating lass activities
- providing structured play during break times and lunch times
- supporting behaviour interventions e.g. monitoring session reports
